unsophisticated + jejune

IMG_7529 - Copy.JPG

The name unsophisticated +jejune arrived from the understanding, and acceptance that I am simply a bit boring. I like being at home with all my bits. I don’t like trying new cafes. I like to be sitting and making, that’s my comfort. If you like sitting and knitting and quilting then listen in; it is here that I talk about those sorts of things. I am mostly a quilter, but I do knit the knit too.

My name is Hannah and I live in manchester, UK. I’m an art school graduate and I work in a restaurant as a food runner. I make prints at a printmaking studio on my days off. Sometimes I talk about that, but only sometimes. I do incorporate quilting into my art, so I should probably talk about more than I do. Noted.

Most of all, this blog is about making things. Writing things down. Drawing plans up! I think it is an important thing to do. And I’m happy to do it.

  1. Hi Hannah,

Recently we had the ‘Don’t stitch us up’ banner at an exhibition at Oxford Brookes University (where I am a student)

I have recently written an article about the exhibition for the uni’s architecture magazine, which is a small magazine mainly circulated between students and staff. In my article I talk a bout the banner and would like some photos to accompany it. I came across your blog post via google. I would like to ask permission to use your photos if that’s OK, I can of course credit you in a reference.

    I hope this makes sense.

    1. Hi Leonie,
How great you wrote an article on it! Yes you can use the photographs, all are mine except the bottom one. And you can reference as Hannah at this blog address.
      Thanks, Hannah
